Account, profile, listings, messages, and marketplace activity

Access is disabled immediately. These records are restricted from the moment the request is made to support fraud prevention, disputes, chargebacks, safety investigations, and lawful information requests. Once the request is verified and approved by an authorised administrator, your profile, sign-in sessions, registered devices, push tokens, notifications, saved items, photos, portfolio and identity-verification files are deleted. Your account record is kept only as an anonymised "Deleted user" stub with no name, email, password, photo or personal metadata. Message text is kept only so the other party's conversation history stays intact; your identity is removed, but free text can still identify you if you wrote identifying details in it. Completion is recorded only after required erasure steps finish. We attempt a confirmation email; delivery is not guaranteed. A justified legal hold or unresolved obligation requires review.

Operating completion target: 30 calendar days total from the original request. Approval, retries and holds do not reset that target. Retained categories and lawful exceptions require separate review; eligibility alone is not completion.

Security and deletion audit trail

Minimal security events, access history, and the deletion-request audit record are retained for 365 days. Access is restricted to authorised personnel and is used only for security, fraud investigation, legal response, and proof that the request was handled.

Backups

Backup copies that still contain your data are deleted or overwritten within 35 days. A deleted account is not restored from a backup.

Payment, invoice, transaction, and tax records

Records required to support accounting and UAE tax obligations may be retained for at least 7 years after the end of the relevant tax period. They are not kept for advertising or normal marketplace use after account access ends.

Legal holds and unresolved matters

Data connected to an active dispute, payment claim, fraud or safety investigation, court or regulator order, or lawful law-enforcement request is restricted and retained until the matter and the applicable legal retention period end. Unrelated data follows the normal schedule.
