This Privacy Policy explains how Abcwed collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares data across account creation, search, messaging, verification, payments, and support.

What we collect
We collect account information, profile details, identity-verification submissions, task postings, proposals, communications, payment-related records, and security telemetry needed to operate and protect the marketplace.
Why we use it
We use personal data to run Abcwed, verify accounts, support hiring and messaging flows, detect abuse, process operational records, and respond to legal or regulatory obligations.
Identity verification
Where Emirates ID or similar verification is requested, the purpose is fraud prevention, trust, and compliance. Verification evidence may be reviewed administratively and deleted after the relevant verification workflow is complete, subject to legal hold or security investigation requirements.
Sharing
We share data with service providers only where needed to host, secure, verify, message, and operate the platform. We also share the relevant marketplace information with other users when you intentionally engage with them through a listing, request, proposal, or booking.
Security and retention
A deletion request ends account access immediately. Account, profile, marketplace, message, and related service data then remains restricted for 365 days before permanent deletion or irreversible anonymisation, unless a legal hold applies. Security and deletion audit records are retained for 365 days. Payment, invoice, transaction, and tax records may be retained for 7 years after the end of the relevant tax period where required for UAE accounting or tax obligations.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of personal data. A court, regulator, lawful law-enforcement request, active dispute, chargeback, safety investigation, or fraud review may require specific records to remain restricted until that matter and its applicable retention period end.
UAE privacy context
This policy is intended to operate consistently with UAE data-protection obligations, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law framework where applicable, while also accounting for cross-border infrastructure and service-provider processing.
